ORDINANCE /981-62 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CON- DITIONS OF THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PART OF LOT FIFTY-NINE (59) OF THE REVISION OF RIVERSIDE ADDITION TO SAID CITY LO- CATED IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO CLAUDIO FLORES; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO CLAUDIO FLORES; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. 171 WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids for the sale of that certain real property known as a Part of Lot Fifty-nine (59) of the Revision of Riverside Addition to said City located in Hays County, Texas, also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 15 D-9, said Part being more particularly described as follows: BEGIN at the Northwest corner of said Lot No. Fifty- nine (59) of the Riverside Addition to the City of San Marcos, such corner being the Corner formed by the in- tersection of Grove and McKie Streets; THENCE in a Southerly direction with the most Eastern line of McKie Street, and the most Westerly line of said Lot No. Fifty-nine (59), 75.09 feet to the begin- ning corner of the tract hereby conveyed; THENCE continuing in a Southerly direction with the most Eastern line of McKie Street 50.0 feet to the Southwest corner of the tract hereby conveyed, said corner being formed by the intersection of McKie Street and a fifteen (15) foot alley-way; THENCE in a Easterly direction with the most Northerly line of said fifteen (15) foot alley-way 66.8 feet to the SoUtheast corner of the tract hereby conveyed; THENCE at right angles to the last-mentioned call, and parallel with the most Eastern line of McKie Street, 50.0 feet in a Northerly direction with the most Eastern line of said Lot No. Fifty-nine (59) to the Northeast corner of the tract hereby Conveyed; THENCE at right angles to the last-mentioned call, and parallel with the most Northerly line of said fifteen (15) foot alley-way, to the beginning corner of the tract hereby conveyed, being a tract of land fronting fifty feet on the most Eastern line of McKie Street and running back between parallel lines to the most Eastern line of~said Lot No. Fifty-nine (59) in the San Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a general circu- lation in the County of Hays, State of Texas, on SePtember 25, 1980, and October 2, 1980; and, WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted by Claudio Flores for said described property in the amount of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00); and, WHEREAS, the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners of the City of San Marcos, Texas, waived the minimum disposition price of $1,500.00 set for said parcel because only one-bid was received and that bid was from the adjoining property owner; and, WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and best responsible bid for said property on June 10, 1981; and, WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale, as contained in the bid document; now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS:
