The City Council wishes to revise the activities and duties of the Main Street <br />Advisory Board to provide for an expanded role for the board in the formulation and <br />recommendation of budgets for the Main Street Program and in monitoring the <br />effectiveness of the Main Street Program. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.213 of the City Code is amended as follows (underlininq <br />indicates added text; overstrike indicates deleted text): <br /> <br />Sec. 2.213. Activities and duties. <br /> <br />Main street advisory board activities and duties include the following: <br /> <br />(1) Advising the Main Street Proqram manaqer projoct director. <br /> <br />(2) Establishing goals and priorities for the Main Street Proqram project. <br /> <br />(3) Monitorinq expenditures of Proqram funds and A~ssessing the effectiveness <br />of the Proqram project. <br /> <br />(4) Formulatinq proposed budgets for the Proqram and makinq <br />recommendations to the city manaqer and city council on the budqets. <br /> <br />@ Building support for the Proqram project. <br /> <br />(Q 5) Reviewing and approving designs for low-interest loans and incentive grant <br />programs. <br /> <br />(Z 6) Fundraising. <br /> <br />m 7) Sponsoring public forums on Main Street issues. <br /> <br />(~ g) Developing criteria needed for tile board's activities. <br />
