<br />94. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2002- 65 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS RATIFYING THE EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT OF FILTER <br />CARTRIDGES FROM PALL WATER PROCESSING FOR THE OAKRIDGE <br />WATER STATION; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The recently installed filter system is in the pilot testing phase and it is difficult <br />to determine the life cycle of the filter cartridges. <br /> <br />2. The filter cartridges did not wear in the same manner as the previous filters <br />did, and therefore require replacement immediately. <br /> <br />3. It is necessary to procure these filter cartridges from PALL Water Processing <br />on an emergency basis, without formal competitive bidding in order to preserve and protect <br />the public health and safety of the City's residents. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The emergency procurement of filter cartridges from PALL Water <br />Processing in the total amount of $24,250.00 is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, IS authorized to <br />execute appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
