<br />28. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2002-J66 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING AN EMERGENCY CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT <br />WITH SICORP, INC. FOR THE HOLLAND AND JOSHUA STREETS <br />EMERGENCY PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. As a result of the Holland Street Reconstruction Project a drainage problem <br />has developed on Holland Street and Joshua Street. <br /> <br />2. SiCorp, Inc. has agreed to work with the City to correct the situation. <br /> <br />3. It is necessary to have the work completed by SiCorp, inc. on an emergency <br />basis without formal competitive bidding in order to preserve and protect the public health <br />and safety of the City's residents. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The award of an emergency contract to SiCorp, Inc. for the Holland <br />and Joshua Streets Emergency Project in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00 is <br />approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary is authorized to execute the contract <br />documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
