<br />31. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2002- 168 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF <br />SUSAN ROCHA OF THE LAW FIRM OF DENTON, NA V ARRO <br />& BERNAL TO SERVE AS SPECIAL COUNSEL TO THE <br />ETHICS REVIEW COMMISSION; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br />ATTORNEY TO NEGOTIATE AN AGREEMENT FOR THESE <br />SERVICES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The appointment of Susan Rocha of the law firm of Denton, Navarro & Bernal to <br />serve as special counsel to the City's Ethics Review Commission for issues involving City Council <br />Members or City Council candidates is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Attorney, Mark B. Taylor, is authorized to negotiate an agreement with <br />Ms. Rocha for these services on an as-needed basis at an hourly rate of$175, and the City Manager, <br />Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
