ORDINANCE NO. 2011- 4 8 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE CITY'S 2010- <br />2011 BUDGET TO AUTHORIZE THE EXPENDITURE OF <br />$195,080 FROM FUND BALANCE IN THE GENERAL <br />FUND TO PROVIDE AN ADDITIONAL $100,000 FOR <br />PAYMENT OF UNEMPLOYMENT COMPENSATION AND <br />TERMINATION LEAVE AND AN ADDITIONAL $95,080 <br />FOR THE PURCHASE OF FUEL AND LUBRICANTS; <br />ELIMINATING THE INTERNAL SERVICE FUND FOR <br />CAPITAL REPLACEMENT AND TRANFERRING THE <br />BALANCE OF THAT FUND TO THE GENERAL FUND; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 2010 -2011 Fiscal Year is amended as <br />set forth in the attached Exhibit A. This amendment appropriates $195,080 from fund balance in <br />the General Fund to provide an additional $100,000 for payment of unemployment compensation <br />and termination leave and an additional $95,080 for the purchase of fuel and lubricants. This <br />amendment eliminates the Internal Service Fund for Capital Improvements and transfers the <br />remaining balance of $1,311,299.88 from that fund to the General Fund. <br />SECTION 2. These revisions will be incorporated into the 2010 -2011 City Budget. <br />SECTION 3. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is <br />held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of <br />this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 4. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in <br />conflict with this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 5.
