Q i;b (,.')C3 ORDINANCE NO. 1999 -63 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1999-2000 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE DOWNTOWN STREET- SCAPE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. RECITALS: 1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment of the City's 1999-2000 budget. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1999-2000 Fiscal Year is amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit A, in order to provide funding for the Downtown Street- scape Improvements Project. SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1999-2000, are approved and adopted. SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 4. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. SECTION 5. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City Secretary will be publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
