City Code Section 2.333 provides for the Airport Commission to submit a proposed budget to the <br />city manager each year for expenditure of airport revenues. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to amend this section to revise the budgetary role of the Airport <br />Commission. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Section 2.333 of the City Code is amended as follows (ffi'erstriko indicates deleted <br />text): <br /> <br />Sec. 2.333. General powers and duties. <br /> <br />(a) The airport commission is an advisory body to the city council, the city manager <br />and the airport manager. It may establish its own rules and regulations for its meetings and <br />proceedings. Its recommendations may be presented to the city council from time to time by <br />filing these recommendations with the city secretary. <br /> <br />(b) The airport commission will advise the city council, the city manager and the <br />airport manager and make recommendations on the following: <br /> <br />(1) The selection of all fixed-base operators and other lessees located at the <br />municipal airport. <br /> <br />(2) The terms, conditions, duties, responsibilities, consideration and other lease <br />provisions to be contained in all lease arrangements concerning airport property. <br /> <br />(3) <br /> <br />All matters affecting airport management. <br /> <br />(4) <br />airport. <br /> <br />Methods and matters in recruiting and creating interest in the municipal <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />Planning and developing airport services and expansion. <br /> <br />(c) The airport commission will review the submit a budget proposal prepared by the <br />airport manager to the city manager for the expenditures of revenues from aeronautical and <br />nonaeronautical sources at the municipal-airport for inclusion in budget preparation for each <br />fiscal year of the city, and make recommendations on the proposal to the city manager and <br />to be submitted to the city council feHffial-€-ity council approval and adoption in the annual <br />budget. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be <br />unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance <br />will continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br /> <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolution or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with <br />this ordinance are repealed. <br /> <br />SECTION 4. This Ordinance will take effect 10 days after the date of its final passage, and the City <br />Secretary will publish notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. <br />
