<br />138. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2000- <br /> <br />222 <br /> <br />R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A GRANT CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH ("TDH") FOR GRANT <br />FUNDING FOR THE SAN MARCOS SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL <br />NUTRITION PROGRAM FOR WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT <br />AND RELATED DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City has received notification that TDH has approved grant funding for <br />grant funding for the San Marcos Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, <br />Infants and Children ("WIC"). <br /> <br />2. The City wishes to wishes to enter into a Texas Department of Health Grant <br />Contract with TDH for grant funding for the WIC Program. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The attached Texas Department of Health Grant Contract (No. <br />7460022381 A01) and related documents between the City of San Marcos and the Texas <br />Department of Health for grant funding for the WIC Program are approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the grant <br />agreement and related documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
