ORDINANCE 2004-----9.8 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ASSIGNING INITIAL ZONING OF "RR" RURAL RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO ALL LOTS IN BLOCK A THROUGH F OF SECTION 11, AND BLOCKS A THROUGH D OF SECTION 12, WILLOW CREEK ESTATES SUBDIVISION; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. 1. On October 26, 2004, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to assign initial zoning of "RR" Rural Residential District for all lots in Block A through F of Section 11 and Blocks A through D of Section 12, Willow Creek Estates Subdivision, located in the 3100 Blocks of Summit Ridge Drive, the 900-1100 Blocks of Tate Trial, the 2400-2500 Blocks of Great Oaks Drive, the 2700 Blocl< of Handler Hollow, the 2600-2700 Blocks of Leslie Lane and the 800-1000 Blocks of Mountain Drive. I 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on October 26, 2004 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing 011 the 13th day of December I 2004, regarding the request. 4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to assign the initial zoning of "RR" Rural Residential District to the following real property: I
