On September 28, 2004, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of <br />San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "M" <br />Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2" Single-Family <br />Dwelling District (Medium Density) for Lots 56 and 57 of the South End Addition <br />located at 602 and 606 Georgia Street. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission did, on September 28, 2004 consider and vote to approve the request, and <br />has recommended that the request be approved by the City CouncIl of the City. <br /> <br />3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 8 th <br />November ,2004, regarding the request. <br /> <br />day of <br /> <br />4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code <br />pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. <br /> <br />5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the <br />following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section <br />114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property <br />which is presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business <br />District to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): <br /> <br />Street address: 602 and 606 Georgia Street. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Legal description: Lots 56 and 57 of the South End AddItlon. <br />
