RECITALS: 1. On September 28, 2004, the Planning and Zoning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the zoning from "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density) for Lots 56 and 57 of the South End Addition located at 602 and 606 Georgia Street. I 2. Subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning and Zoning Commission did, on September 28, 2004 consider and vote to approve the request, and has recommended that the request be approved by the City CouncIl of the City. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on the 8 th November ,2004, regarding the request. day of 4. All requirements of Chapter 114, Zoning, of the San Marcos City Code pertaining to zoning map amendments have been met. 5. The City Council hereby finds and determines that the adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, welfare and safety BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City, as described in Section 114.029 of the San Marcos City Code, is amended to rezone the following real property which is presently zoned "M" Single-Family, Duplex and Neighborhood Business District to "R-2" Single-Family Dwelling District (Medium Density): Street address: 602 and 606 Georgia Street.
