<br /> <br />11 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE 1982-50 <br /> <br />l~N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />CbF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF <br />~HAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS <br />~~HE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES <br />(JAND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) <br />BY ZONING 6.03 ACRES OF LAND IN THE J. M. VERA- <br />MENDI LEAGUE NO. ONE, A/K/A 1222 REDWOOD ROAD, <br />FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) <br />TO "OP" (OFFICE PROFESSIONAL DISTRICT). <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. That the following parcel of real property located in <br /> <br />the City of San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which was classified <br /> <br />"AO" (Agricultural-Open Space District) upon its annexation to the <br /> <br />City of San Marcos on November 24, 1980, henceforth shall be zoned <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />6.03 acres, more or less, of land area in the J. M. Veramendi League <br />No. One in San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, being a portion of that <br />116.94 acre tract of land described in a Deed from H. L. Schulle to <br />Mary Anne Hood, Trustee, dated November 9, 1973 and recorded in Vol- <br />ume 263, Page 522 of the Hays County Deed Records, and being more <br />particularly described by metes and bounds as follows: <br /> <br />BEGINNING at an iron rod set for the east corner of the herein <br />described tract in the southwest line of F.M. Highway No. 3407 <br />(formerly Redwood Road), same being the southwest line of that <br />1.883 acre tract of land described in a Deed from Mary Anne Hood <br />to the State of Texas dated April 23, 1979 and recorded in Volume <br />336, Page 316 of the Hays County Deed Records, from which beginning <br />point, an iron rod found for the south corner of the aforereferenced <br />State of Texas tract, on the southeast line of the Hood tract, bears <br />S 440 51' 00" E 1450.0 feet; <br /> <br />THENCE leaving the PLACE OF BEGINNING and the State of Texas tract <br />as shown on that plat numbered 20681-81-a as revised on June 1, <br />1982 the following three courses: <br /> <br />1. S 450 09' W 750.0 feet to an iron rod set for the <br />south corner of the herein described tract, <br />2. N 440 51' W 350.0 feet to an iron rod set for the <br />west corner of the herein described tract, and <br />3. N 450 09' E 750.0 feet to an iron rod set for the <br />north corner of the herein described tract on the <br />aforereferenced southwest line of the State of <br />Texas tract and F.M. Highway No. 3407; <br /> <br />THENCE with the southwest line of the State of Texas tract, same be- <br />ing the southwest line of F.M. Highway No. 3407 S 440 51' 00" E 350.0 <br />feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING. Pass at 262.42 feet a concrete high- <br />way monument at engineer's centerline station 70+00. There are con- <br />tained within these metes and bounds 6.03 acres, more or less, as <br />described from record information and surveys made on the ground <br />during January and April 1982 by James E. Byrn and Associates of <br />San Marcos, Texas, James E. Byrn, R.P.S. #1810-C, Hays County Sur- <br />veyor, a/k/a 1222 Redwood Road, to be zoned "OP" (Office Professional <br />District) . <br /> <br />SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in full force and effect <br /> <br />ten (10) days from and after passage and publication in a newspaper <br /> <br />of general circulation in the area. <br />
