<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />149 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1980-33R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A <br />CONTRACT FOR AN AUDIT, AN ANNUAL FINAN- <br />CIAL STATEMENT AND OTHER ACCOUNTING <br />SERVICES BE~~EEN HAROLD V. SIMPSON AND <br />COMPANY AND THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY TO EX- <br />ECUTE SAID CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br />desires to have a regular annual audit performed, an annual <br />financial statement prepared and other additional accounting <br />services provided to the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Harold V. Simpson and Company, of Austin, Texas, <br />a qualified firm of certified public accountants, desires to <br />provide said services; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TE XAS : <br /> <br />PART 1. That the contract between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and Harold V. Simpson and Company for a regular annual <br />audit, an annual financial statement, other additional account- <br />ing services, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and <br />incorporated berein for all intents and purposes, be, and is <br />hereby, in all things approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the Mayor, of said city, , or <br />his successor, be and is hereby authorized to execute on behalf <br />of said City said contract. <br /> <br />PART 3.
