I I 87 ORDINANCE 1980-54 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ZONING FOR TRAFFIC AND RATE OF SPEED THEREIN, ON INTERSTATE HIGHWAY 35 ACCESS.:. ROADS IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; DEFINING SPEEDING AND FIXING A PENALTY THEREFOR; DECLARING WHAT MAY BE A SUFFICIENT COMPLAINT IN PROSE- CUTIONS HEREUNDER; WITH A SAVING CLAUSE REPEALING CONFLICTING LAWS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. Section I It is hereby determined upon the basis of an Engineering and Traffic investi- gation that the prima facie maximum speed limit on those portions of Interstate Highway 35 Access, Roads routed in the City Limits of San Marcos, is as here- inafter stated, which prima facie maximum speed limit shall be effective at all times and signs will be erected giving notice of the prima facie maximum speed limit so declared to-wit. Speed Zone Interstate Highway 35 West :'Aacess Road For Southbound Traffic: Beginning at the northeast City Limit of San Marcos at milepoint 10.367 to milepoint 9.422, a distance of 0.945 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour. From milepoint 9.422 to milepoint 8.835, a distance of 0.587 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour. From milepoint 8.835 to milepoint 6.884, a distance of 1.951 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour. From milepoint 6.884 to milepoint 6.540, a distance of 0.344 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour. From milepoint 6.540 to milepoint 6.221, a distance of 0.319 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour. From milepoint 6.221 to milepoint 4.931, a distance of 1.290 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour. From milepoint 4.931 to the southwest City Limit of San Marcos at mile- point 3.700, a distance of 1.231 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 55 miles per hour. For Northbound Traffic: Beginning at the southwest City Limit of San Marcos at milepoint 3.700 to milepoint 4.931, a distance of 1.231 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 55 miles per hour. From milepoint 4.931 to milepoint 6.221, a distance of 1.290 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour.
