<br />91 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 1980-8~-~ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />SUSPENDING THE OPERATION OF PROPOSED RATE <br />SCHEUDLES FILED BY LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY <br />FOR A PERIOD OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY (120) DAYS <br />BEYOND DECEMBER 5, 1980, THE DATE ON WHICH SUCH <br />SCHEDULES WOULD OTHERWISE GO INTO EFFECT. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Lower Colorado River Authority did, on October 31 <br />1980, file a schedule of rates for electric service within the <br />City of San Marcos, Texas, to become effective on December 5, <br />1980; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, after having heard the presentation of Lower Colorado <br />River Authority, it is the opinion of the City Council of the City <br />of San Marcos, Texas, that such schedule of rates should be suspended <br />for a period of 120 days from December 5, 1980, for further study, <br />investigation, presentation of evidence and public hearing; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a copy of this resolution has been provided Lower <br />Colorado River Authority prior to its consideration by the City <br />Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Pursuant to Section 43(d) of the public Utility Regulatory <br />Act, the operation of the Lower Colorado River Authority's proposed <br />rate schedules filed with the City of San Marcos, Texas, on October <br />31, 1980, is hereby suspended for a period of 120 days from <br />December 5, 1980, for further study, investigation, presentation of <br />evidence and public hearing. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 24th day of November <br /> <br />, 1980. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ <br />.e/Vv-~J[ D..u...t:L-., <br />Kennetll: v.~aus <br />, M.ayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />S~~~ <br /> <br />Sharyl Werher <br />Deputy City Secretary <br /> <br />I <br />
