<br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
<br />
<br />The Mayor introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of
<br />the regular meeting held November 24, 1980. An error was noted on
<br />page one of the minutes on approval of the minbtes of the November
<br />17th meeting. Mr. James abstained and Mayor Kraus voted aye. Mrs.
<br />Norris moved to approve the minutes as corrected. Mr. Brown seconded
<br />the-motion, -whiah~'passedl'unari1imously.

<br />The Hayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance on second reading,
<br />the caption of which was read as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS,
<br />AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS
<br />THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED
<br />SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 12.11
<br />ACRES OUT OF THE HOLLAND HILLS ADDITION, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE
<br />FMULY RESIDENTIAL) TO "TH" (TOY-INHOUSE).
<br />
<br />Mr. Cavazos moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading. Mrs.
<br />Norris seconded the motion. Mr. Brown stated that this area is in
<br />the recharge zone. Council will consider a petition regarding density
<br />of development over the recharge zone at a later date. Mr. Brown
<br />felt this should be deferred until after that consideration. No second
<br />was received to his motion. The Mayor stated that they still have time
<br />to consider the question on "TH" zoning before the third reading. On
<br />roll call, the following vote was recorded:

<br />NAY: Brown

<br />The Mayor introduced for consider~ion an Ordinance on third and final
<br />reading, the caption of which was read as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY
<br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PART OF LOTS NO. FIVE (5)
<br />AND SIX (6) IN BLOCK NO. TWO (2) OF THE J.S. TRAVIS ADDITION
<br />TO SAID CITY TO THE SAN ~ffiRCOS ~ELEPHONE COMPANY; AUTHORIZING
<br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO THE SAN MARCOS TELEPHONE
<br />COMPANY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECITVE DATE.
