RESOLUTION 2012 - 48 R
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, REJECTING BOTH BIDS RECEIVED IN RESPONSE
TO AN INVITATION FOR BIDS FOR THE DOWNTOWN
RECONSTRUCTION PHASE I PROJECT; AND DECLARING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
RECITALS:
1. On April 10, 2012 the City received two bids in response to an Invitation for Bids
(IFB 212 -044) for the Downtown Reconstruction Phase I Project (the "Project ").
2. After review of the bids, the City has determined that the bids exceed the current
budget for the Project and that proceeding with an award of a construction contract for the
Project at this time is not in the City's best interest.
3. The City will solicit bids for this Project in the future.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
TEXAS:
PART 1. The bids received in response to IFB 212 -044 for the Downtown
Reconstruction Phase I Project are rejected.
PART 2.
