<br />RESOLUTION 2006-1 7 9R <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THE CONTRACT <br />FOR RECYCLING CENTER AND CITY FACILITIES RECYCLING <br />COLLECTION BETWEEN THE CITY AND GREEN GUY RECYCLING <br />SERVICES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS <br />AMENDMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The City Council approved a contract with Green Guy Recycling Services <br />("Green Guy") for the operation of a recycling center and related services on May 12,2003. <br /> <br />2. Green Guy has requested an increase of 6.46% to its rate based on increases in <br />operation due to higher costs for fuel, equipment, supplies and labor which necessitates the need <br />to amend its contract with the City. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The attached Amendment No.1 to the Contract for Recycling Center and <br />City Facilities Recycling Collection between the City and Green Guy Recycling Services is <br />approved is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2, The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the Amendment <br />on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />PART 3. <br />after its passage. <br /> <br />This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 17th day of October, 2006. <br /> <br />~if3 . <br /> <br />Su,~ N=.., ~ <br />Mayor <br /> <br />~(;;'IC~ . <br />~ ..
