The Texas Legislature in the 2005 Regular Session enacted Senate Bill 574, making <br />changes to Texas Local Government Code Chapter 245 that relate to the expiration of permits and <br />approvals for various development activities. <br /> <br />2. In accordance with Sections 1.2.4.1 and 1.3.8.1 ofthe City Land Development Code (the <br />"LDC"), the Planning and Zoning Commission and the City Council have considered proposed <br />amendments to Sections 1.4.3.6, 1.6.2.1, 1.6.2.6, 1.6.3.6, 1.6.4.6, 1.6.5.7, 1.6.7.7, 1.7.1.7, and 1.8.1.7 <br />of the LDC that relate to the expiration of permits and approvals for various development activities. <br /> <br />3. The Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing on the proposed amendments <br />on August 23,2005, and voted to recommend the adoption of the proposed amendments to the City <br />Council. <br /> <br />5. All applicable requirements of the LDC, and of Chapters 211 and 212 of the Texas Local <br />Government Code pertaining to the proposed amendments have been met, and the City Council finds <br />and determines that the adoption of this ordinance is in the interest of the public health, morals, <br />welfare and safety. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1. Sections 1.4.3.6, 1.6.2.1, 1.6.2.6, 1.6.3.6, 1.6.4.6, 1.6.5.7, 1.6.7.7, 1.7.1.7, and <br />1.8.1.7 of the City Land Development Code are amended as follows (underlining indicates added <br />text; o'/crstrike indicates deleted text): <br />
