<br /> 151 <br /> RESOLUTION 1998- 198 R <br /> _°- <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, EXTENDING THE PERIOD OF THE <br /> DISASTER DECLARATION RELATED TO LOCAL <br /> FLOODING UNTIL NOVEMBER 23,1998; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. Mayor Billy G. Moore issued a disaster declaration related to heavy rains and <br /> potential flooding on October 17, 1998. <br /> 2. The City of San Marcos in fact has suffered widespread and severe damage <br /> and property loss as a result of the recent heavy rains and flooding. <br /> 3. The City Council wishes to extend the period of the disaster declaration <br /> issued by the Mayor. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The state of disaster originally proclaimed by the Mayor on October 17, <br /> 1998 is extended until November 23, 1998, unless earlier rescinded by order of the Mayor. <br /> PART 2. That the City's Emergency Management Plan will continue in effect <br /> throughout the period of this disaster declaration. <br /> PART 3. The Mayor is authorized to issue any emergency management orders <br /> deemed necessary or expedient during the period of this disaster declaration. <br /> PART 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its <br /> passage. <br /> ADOPTED this 23RD:lay of OCTOBER ,1998. <br /> 6&1 9'. ~ <br /> Billy G.
