I ORDINANCE NO. 2007 - _ 29 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE NAME OF WATER TOWER STREET, FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH SPLIT RAIL DRIVE TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH SILO STREET, TO FENCE LINE DRIVE; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS. RECITALS: 1. On January 9, 2007, the City Planning and Zoning Commission held a public hearing regarding a request to change the name of Water Tower Street, from its intersection with Split Rail Drive to its intersection with Silo Street to Fence Line Drive. 2. Subsequent to the public hearing held on January 9, 2007, the City Planning and Zoning Commission, and on that same date, the Commission voted to recommend that a change in the name of Water Tower Street, from its intersection with Split Rail Drive to its intersection with Silo Street, to Fence Line Drive be approved by the City Council. 3. The City Council held a public hearing on April 17, 2007 the recommendation. , 2007 regarding I 4. All requirements of Chapter 74 of the City Code pertaining to street name changes have been meet. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The street name for Water Tower Street, from its intersection with Split Rail Drive to its intersection with Silo Street, is changed to Fence Line Drive. SECTION 2. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with this ordinance are repealed. SECTION 3. This Ordinance will take effect ten days from and after its passage, and notice of its adoption will be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City as required by the City Charter.
