<br />, <br /> <br />j <br />'\ t" <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />h~- <br /> <br />59 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1997- 31 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRIBUTION TO AUSTIN-SAN ANTONIO <br />CORRIDOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENT, INC.; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. The Mayor has received a request from the Austin-San Antonio Corridor <br />Council (the Council) for a contribution to the Austin-San Antonio Corridor Infrastructure <br />Improvef"!1ent Fund, Inc. (the Fund). <br /> <br />2. The Fund is being established by the Council in order to work at the state and <br />federal levels for the high speed development of the proposed 1-35 alternative route <br />(SH130) and commuter rail service for the Austin-San Antonio corridor. <br /> <br />3. The City supports the Council's goals and purposes in establishing the Fund <br />and wishes to make a contribution towards the Fund. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY bF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the City approves a contribution of $ 5,000,00 <br /> <br />towards the <br /> <br />Fund. <br /> <br />PART 2.
