<br /> - 116 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997 - 49R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND' <br /> CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br /> AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION <br /> FOR CLOSURE OF STATE HIGHWAYS FOR THE TEXAS <br /> NATURAL AND WESTERN SWING FESTIVAL; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> AGREEMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The Texas Department of Transportation (UTXDOT") has authorized <br /> the closure of certain state highways in connection with the Texas Natural and Western <br /> Swing Festival to be conducted on May 17 and 18, 1997, subject to the execution of the <br /> attached agreement. <br /> . <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The City Council confirms that the Texas Natural and Western Swing <br /> Festival serves a public purpose. <br /> PART 2. That the terms and conditions of the Agreement for the Temporary <br /> Closure of State Right-of-Way attached to this Resolution between the City and the State <br /> of Texas by and through the TXDOT, are approved. <br /> PART 3. The execution of the Agreements by the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, <br /> is approved. <br /> PART 4.
