<br /> 29 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997- 127R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE APPOINTMENT OF NICHOLE <br /> ELLINGER AS ASSISTANT CITY SECRETARY FOR PURPOSES <br /> OF VITAL STATISTICS RECORDS ADMINISTRATION; AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. Section 191.022 of the Texas Health and Safety Code designates the City <br />Secretary as the local registrar of births and deaths of persons occurring within the City. <br />2. A need exists for the appointment by the City Secretary of an Assistant City <br />Secretary to serve as a deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics records <br />administration. <br />3. The approval of the City Council is necessary for the appointment of <br />Assistant City Secretaries under City Charter Section 4.02. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the appointment by the City Secretary of Nichole Ellinger as Assistant <br />City Secretary to serve as deputy local registrar for purposes of vital statistics records <br />administration is approved. <br />PART 2.
