<br /> 34 <br /> RESOLUTION 1997 - 1 R 5-R <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF A LEASE <br /> AGREEMENT WITH INSIGNIA RETAIL GROUP FOR OFFICE SPACE FOR <br /> THE WIC PROGRAM IN SEGUIN, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE LEASE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE <br /> CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS: <br /> 1. The WIC Program is currently providing services to 1,500 participants a month in <br /> the City of Seguin. The Program is funded on an annual basis by the Texas <br /> Department of Health at a funding reimbursement level of 100%. <br /> 2. The City desires to lease space from the Insignia Retail Group for use in providing <br /> WIC Program services in Seguin. <br /> 3. Although the lease is for a 5 year term, the lease is contingent upon continued <br /> funding through the State program, and any early termination penalty paid under <br /> the lease will be reimbursed to the City by the Texas Department of Health. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. The terms and conditions of the attached Lease Agreement between <br /> the City and Insignia Retail Group for office space located in the Five Courts Shopping <br /> Center to accommodate the WIC Program in Seguin, Texas, are approved. <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> attached Lease Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
