192. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 107 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN EARNEST MONEY <br />CONTRACT WITH THE CEPHAS ESTATE TO PURCHASE <br />A TRACT OF PROPERTY AT 217 MLK DRIVE; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br /> 1. The City Council has approved funding for the purchase of the old Cephas <br />home at 217 MLK Drive for the purpose of preserving the home as a historic building. <br /> <br /> 2. The City Council wishes to approve an earnest money contract with the <br />Cephas Estate for the purchase of this property. <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br /> PART 1. The attached Earnest Money Contract between the City and the Cephas <br />Estate for the City's purchase of the old Cephas home at 217 MLK Drive is approved. <br /> <br /> PART 2. The City Manager, Dan O'Leary, is authorized to execute the Contract and <br />related documents on behalf of the City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
