'-'.. c..:: ~ ; C'. - l.o-.~. ç , O' c/) "5 i~~~' ~ Ë ~ ORDINANCE NO. 4996 ~ , "' --- u~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE CITY BUDGET ORDINANCE FOR THE 1995-96 FISCAL YEAR TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR THE BLANCO STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. RECITALS: 1. In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, the City Council declares that a public necessity exists which requires amendment of the City's 1995-96 budget. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. The City Budget Ordinance for the 1995-96 Fiscal Year is amended as set forth in the attached Exhibit A. in order to provide funding for the Blanco Street Drainage Improvements Project. SECTION 2. These revisions and reappropriations which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1995-96, are approved and adopted. SECTION 3. The importance of this Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity, and the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances be presented at three separate meetings, and that ordinances do not take effect until 10 days after the date of final passage are suspended, and this Ordinance will take effect upon publication of notice of its adoption in a newspaper of general circulation in the City.
