<br />93 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1996- 139 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS APPROVING THE EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT OF <br />EQUIPMENT, MATERIALS AND LABOR IN CONNECTION WITH GROUND <br />WATER TREATMENT FOR THE ESTATES OF SAN MARCOS <br />SUBDIVISION; AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO <br />EXECUTE THE APPROPRIATE PROCUREMENT DOCUMENTS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. Due to lower water levels and increased pumping from the water wells <br />serving the Estates of San Marcos Subdivision, water quality from the wells has <br />diminished. <br /> <br />2. In order to restore the quality of the water in the Estates of San Marcos water <br />system and to protect the public health of its residents, it is necessary to procure <br />equipment, materials and labor from Mueller Water Conditioning, Inc. in the amount of <br />. <br />$43,148.00. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The emergency procurement of equipment, materials and labor from <br />Mueller Water Conditioning, Inc. in the amount of $43,148.00, in order to restore the <br />quality of water in the Estates of San Marcos Subdivision to protect the health of its <br />residents, is approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. The execution of appropriate documents for the procurement by the <br />Purchasing Manager, Cheryl Pantermuehl, is authorized. <br /> <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from <br />and after its passage. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the 26th day of August 1996.
