<br /> 18 <br /> RESOLUTION 1995-1 7 8 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS NOMINATING A CANDIDATE AND SEEKING THE <br /> RECOMMENDATION BY THE TEXAS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE FOR <br /> APPOINTMENT TO THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES BOARD OF <br /> DIRECTORS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />~- RECITALS: <br /> It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas to <br /> have direct representation before the National League of Cities through the membership <br /> by a City Council Member on the Board of Directors of the National League of Cities. <br /> BE IT RE.SOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: . <br /> PART 1. That the following City Council Member is nominated as a candidate <br /> for appointment to the National League of Cities Board of Directors: <br /> Mayor Kathy M. Morris <br /> . <br /> PART 2. That the recommendation of the above-named candidate by the Texas <br /> Municipal League for appointment to the National League of Cities Board is hereby sought. <br /> PART 3. That a copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas <br /> Municipal League in order that it be received on or before October 11, 1995. <br /> PART 4.
