<br /> 66 <br /> RESOLUTION 1995 - 200 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A LETTER AGREEMENT TO EXTEND <br /> THE CLOSING DEADLINE FOR THE SALE OF THE OLD PUBLIC <br /> LIBRARY BUILDING TO NELSON CAYTON; AND DECLARING AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. On August 14, 1995, the City Council accepted the bid of Nelson Cayton to <br /> purchase the old public library building, with the closing to occur by September 13, <br /> 1995. <br /> 2. The Ci~y Council extended the closing deadline for a period of 60 days on <br /> September 11, 1995. <br /> 3. A further extension of the closing deadline would permit the prospective <br /> purchaser, Mr. Nelson Cayton, to pursue alternatives for the rezoning of the property. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> { <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the letter agreement attached to this resolution extending the <br /> closing deadline for the sale of the old public library building to January 9, 1996 is <br /> approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is authorized to execute the <br /> letter agreement. <br /> PART 3.
