<br /> 25 <br /> RESOLUTION 1994- 10 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY . <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECLARING A MORATORIUM <br /> ON THE COLLECTION OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE <br /> SURCHARGES¡ AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> RECITALS <br /> 1. The City has adopted an Industrial Waste Discharge <br />Regulations ordinance, contained in Sections 30-90 through 30-109 <br />of the San Marcos Code of Ordinances. <br /> 2. This ordinance calls for the collection of surcharges for <br />the discharge of industrial waste which has pollutant <br />characteristics in excess of those in normal domestic ~aste. <br /> 3. The fees for industrial waste surcharges are set in <br />Ordinance 1993-30. <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That a moratorium on the collection of industrial <br />waste surcharges under the Industrial Waste Discharge Regulations <br />ordinance and Ordinance 1993-30 is declared for {a period of 120 <br />days from the effective date of this resolution¡ during the <br />moratorium, no new surcharges will be instituted, the collection <br />of previously billed surcharges will be suspended, the collection <br />of surcharges otherwise coming due during the moratorium period <br />will be suspended, and any collected surcharges will be <br />reimbursed. <br /> PART 2.
