<br />138 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1981-26R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID <br />CITY AND CHASTAIN AND ASSOCIATES <br />FOR ASSISTANCE IN COMPLETION OF <br />PERSONNEL MANAGENENT AND TRAINING <br />ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO THE SAN <br />MARCOS PERSONNEL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID <br />CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, desiring to <br />provide for a fiscally responsible personnel policy and improve the <br />work performance and productivity of city employees, by Resolution <br />adopted March 9, 1981, approved a contract between said City <br />and the Texas Department of Community Affairs for the performance <br />by City of personnel management and training activities; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said City Council desires the assistance of Chastain and <br />Associates in performing said personnel management and training <br />activities; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the contract between the City of San Marcos, Texas and <br />Chastain and Associates for assistance in completion of personnel <br />management and training activities pursuant to the San Marcos Personnel <br />Improvement Program, a copy of said contract being attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein for all intents and purposes be, and is hereby, <br />in all things approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the City Manager of said City, A.C. Gonzalez, be and is <br />hereby, authorized to execute said contract on behalf of City. <br /> <br />PART 3.
