<br /> 91 <br /> RESOLUTION 1993- 214R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND <br /> USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM <br /> COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL TO COMMERCIAL FOR <br /> 26.00 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE EDWARD BURLESON <br /> SURVEY, NO. 18, A-63, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br /> LOCATED AT THE WEST CORNER OF THE INTERSECTION <br /> OF IH-35 SOUTH AND CENTERPOINT ROAD AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on August 31, 1993, the Joint Planning and Zoning <br />Commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing <br />regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master <br />Plan from Commercial and Industrial to Commercial for 26.00 acres <br />of land out of the Edward Burleson Survey, No. 18, A-63, Hays <br />County, Texas, located at the west corner of the intersection of <br />IH-35 South and Centerpoint Road; and, <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br />Commissions did, on August 31,1993, consider the request and voted <br />to approve it and have recommended that the request be approved by <br />the City Council of the City; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the13thday <br />of December , 1993, regarding the request; and, <br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of the Master Plan pertaining to <br />amendments have been met; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following resolution is in the interest of the <br />public, health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the following described tract of real property <br />located at the intersection of IH-35 South and Centerpoint Road, <br />San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is in an area shown on the <br />Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan of the City of San Marcos as <br />Commercial and Industrial shall be shown on that map as Commercial: <br /> FIELD NOTE DESCRIPTION <br /> OF A SURVEY <br /> OF <br /> 26.00 ACRES OF LAND <br /> OUT OF THE <br /> EDWARD BURLESON SURVEY, NO. 18, 1-63 <br /> HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS <br /> BEING 26.00 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THAT 955 ACRE TRACT OF <br /> LAND CONVEYED TO LOWMAN RANCH, LTD., A LIMITED <br /> PARTNERSHIP BY GRACE B. LOWMAN BY DEED DATED JUNE 3, <br /> 1967, ~D RECORDED IN VOLUME 218, PAGE 594, HAYS COUNTY <br /> DEED RECORDS AND BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY <br /> METES AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS, TO-WIT: <br /> BEGINNING at a concrete monument found on the northwest <br /> line of Interstate Highway No. 35 and Center Point Road <br /> for the east corner of the tract herein described; <br /> THENCE, leaving the said Center Point Road, with the <br /> northwest line of the said.
