RESOLUTION NO. 2013-50R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A SUBSTANTIAL AMENDMENT TO <br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS 2009 -2014 CDBG CONSOLIDATED PLAN <br />TO CHANGE THE USE OF THE CEPHAS HOUSE AS A FACILITY FOR <br />A VARIETY OF SMALL CULTURAL ARTS AND LEISURE CLASSES <br />AND PROGRAMS AND TO PROVIDE A VENUE FOR THE DISPLAY OF <br />THE HISTORY OF THE DUNBAR NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE CITY'S <br />AFRICAN AMERICAN PRESENCE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The City Council. of the City of San Marcos hereby approves a substantial <br />amendment to the City of San Marcos 2009 -2014 CDBG Consolidated Plan, as more fully <br />described in Exhibit A attached hereto, in order to allow the Community Services Department - <br />Parks and Recreation. Division to provide a variety of small cultural arts and leisure classes and <br />programs and facility provide a venue for the display of the history of the Dunbar Neighborhood, <br />its prominent citizens, and the importance of the African- American presence in the growth and <br />development of the City of San Marcos. <br />PART 2.
