112 RESOLUTION 1992- 83 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE EMERGENCY PROCUREMENT OF CORRUGATED METAL PIPE FROM TEXAS CORRUGATORS, INC. FOR THE POST ROAD DRAINAGE PROJECT IN ORDER TO PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH AND SAFETY OF THE CITY.S RESIDENTS; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE PURCHASE REQUISITION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, there is a drainage problem in the 16ØØ block of Post Road: and, WHEREAS, in order to correct the problem the City will need to install a storm pipe to divert the water: and, vlHEREAS, the emergency procurement of storm drainage pipe will allow the Public Works Department to proceed with the corrective work promptly; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the emergency procurement of corrugated metal pipe from Texas Corrugators, Inc. for the completion of the Post Road drainage proj ect in order to preserve and protect the public health and safety of the City's residents is approved. PART 2. That the payment of $6,987. Sø to Texas Corrugators, Inc. for the purchase of corrugated pipe is approved. PART 3. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley, is hereby authorized to execute the purhase requisition attached hereto and incorporated herein for all purposes. PART 4. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage.
