56 RESOLUTION 1992-116R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TRANSFER OF ENTERPRISE PROJECT BENEFITS FOR THE CTEC FACILITY; REQUESTING APPROVAL BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMERCE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on February 27, 1989, the City resolution designating the CTEC facility in Enterprise Project as set forth in section Enterprise Zone Act; and, Council adopted a San Marcos as an 10 of the Texas WHEREAS, the ownership of CTEC has changed since the adoption of that resolution; and, WHEREAS, the Texas Department of Commerce (Commerce) requires the City to approve the release of claim to Enterprise Project benefits by CTEC under the original ownership, and to approve the assumption of benefits by CTEC under the new ownership; and, WHEREAS, the assumption of benefits is also subject to approval by Commerce; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the city of San Marcos approves the release of claim to Enterprise Project benefits by CTEC under its original ownership by GE Aircraft Engines, Inc. and Rohr Industries, Inc. PART 2. That the assumption of Enterprise Zone benefits by the new owners of CTEC, GE Aircraft Engines, Inc. and GEAC Composites, Inc., is approved subject to the approval of Commerce. PART 3. That a copy of this resolution shall serve as the official request by the City to Commerce for approval of this assumption. PART 4. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its passage. ADOPTED this 28th day of September , 1992. ~~ .
