<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE OFFICIAL
<br /> ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY ZONING BLOCK 3, LOTS
<br /> 2 AND 3 AND BLOCK 6, LOT 3 OF THE BLANCO,
<br /> GARDENS SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 1, PAGE 1 OF THE
<br /> HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, LOCATED AT 1303,
<br /> 1304 AND 1305 BARBARA DRIVE FROM "R-l" SINGLE-
<br /> FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND
<br /> "C" COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO "R-l" SINGLE-FAMILY
<br /> DWELLING DISTRICT (LOW DENSITY) AND DECLARING
<br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on September 1, 1992, the Zoning commission of the
<br /> city of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to
<br /> change the zoning from "R-1" single-Family Dwelling District (Low
<br /> Density) and "C" Commercial District to "R-l" Single-Family
<br /> Dwelling District (Low Density) for Block 3, Lots 2 and 3 and Block
<br /> 6, Lot 3 of the Blanco Gardens Subdivision of the city of San
<br /> Marcos as recorded in Volume 1, Page 1 of the Hays County Plat
<br /> Records, located at 1303, 1304 and 1305 Barbara Drdve; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br /> Zoning commission did, on September 1, 1992 consider the request
<br /> and voted to approve it and has recommended that the request be
<br /> approved by the city Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the city Council held a public hearing on the 9th
<br /> day of November , 1992, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of Appendix A, General Zoning
<br /> Ordinance, of the Code of Ordinances of the city of San Marcos
<br /> pertaining to amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br /> adoption of the following ordinance is in the interest of the
<br /> public health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That the Official Zoning Map of the city, as
<br /> described in section 3 of the General Zoning Ordinance is hereby
<br /> amended to rezone the following described real property located in
<br /> San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which is presently zoned "R-1"
<br /> single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density) and "C" Commercial
<br /> District to "R-l" Single-Family Dwelling District (Low Density):
<br /> BLOCK 3, LOTS 2 AND 3 AND BLOCK 6, LOT 3 OF THE BLANCO
<br /> GARDENS SUBDIVISION IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AS RECORDED
<br /> ON VOLUME 1, PAGE 1 OF THE HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS.
<br /> SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (10)
<br /> days from and after its passage and after it has been subject to
<br /> reconsideration by the Council at its next regular meeting
<br /> following its passage, and providing that the Council did not vote
<br /> to reconsider it. If reconsidered on November 23, 1992it shall be
<br /> in effect ten days from and after its passage on that date if
<br /> approved. It shall not go into effect if denied. If not
<br /> reconsidered and approved it shall be published in a newspaper of
<br /> general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the
<br /> city of San Marcos, Texas.
<br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of November, 1992,
<br /> subject to reconsideration at the next regular city Council meeting
<br /> scheduled for November 23, 1992 .
