<br /> 20 <br /> RESOLUTION 1992 - 147 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br /> AND BROWNING-FERRIS, INC. FOR RESIDENTIAL <br /> RECYCLABLE MATERIALS COLLECTION SERVICES; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br /> AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to engage the services of <br /> Browning-Ferris, Inc. (II BFI ") to provide residential recyclable <br /> materials: News print, plastic (PET and HDPE), glass containers, <br /> aluminum containers, tin cans and used motor oil; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City and BFI have agreed upon the terms and <br /> conditions under which these services will be provided, including <br /> an initial rate of $1.80 per residential unit per month; now, <br /> therefore <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the procurement of residential recyclable <br /> materials collection services is determined to be necessary to <br /> preserve the public health and safety of the City's residents. <br /> PART 2. That the terms and conditions of the Agreement <br /> attached to this Resolution between the City and Browning-Ferris, <br /> Inc. for residential recyclable materials collection services are <br /> hereby approved. <br /> PART 3. That the City Manager, Larry D. -Gilley is hereby <br /> authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> , <br /> PART 4.
