26 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 14, 1983 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Gerald G. Farr Fred Guerra * Betty Jane Kissler John A. Kreczmer * Jaime Moore City Manager * A. C. Gonzalez City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Barbara Jean Edwards Also Present: H. M. Brittain and Caddo Sanders. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Craddock opened an on-site public hearing on the East r.o.w. of FM621 (Staples Road) approximately 400 feet Southeast of the entrance to the State Fish Hatchery on property known as the Brittain Tract, to consider the annexation of 57.67 acres, more or less, out of the J. M. Veramendi League No. 1, A-17 and the James Curtis Survey A-3, Hays Coun ty, Texas, being a portion of that 38 acre tract described in a deed from Rogers C. Wilson, et ux, to Rosemary Wilson McTaggart dated December 15, 1967 and recorded in Volume 221, Page 230 of the Hays County Deed Records and being a portion of that 45 acre tract described in a deed from Rogers C. Wilson, et ux, to Rogers D. Wilson, dated De- cember 15, 1967 and recorded in Volume 221, Page 232 and later corrected in Volume 255, Page 208 of the Hays County Deed Records. Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak in favor of the annexation. H. M. Brit- tain that that he was half-owner of the property and wanted to have it annexed into the City. No one else wished to speak in favor of the annexation. Mayor Craddock asked if anyone wished to speak in opposi- tion to the annexation, and no one did, so Mayor Craddock then closed the public hearing.
