- a- 94 .,... - 60 - ORDINANCE 1991- AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS CHANGING THE STREET NAME FOR THE 7ØØ THROUGH llØØ BLOCKS OF DALE STREET TO DALE DRIVE; PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on July 9, 1991, the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to change the 7ØØ through llØØ Blocks of Dale Street to Dale Drive, and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, on July 9, 1991 consider the request, and, WHEREAS, in the interest of public safety and to eliminate multiple names along the continuity of a single street, the Planning Commission did, on July 9, 1991, approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City: and, WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 26th day of August , 1991, regarding the request: and, WHERE.AS, all requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street name changes have been met: now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. Tha t the street name for the 7ØØ-llØØ blocks of Dale Street is hereby changed to Dale Drive. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (lØ) days from and after its passage, and it shall be publ ished in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
