45 ORDINANCE 1991- 72 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS NAMING THAT PORTION OF STATE HIGHWAY 21 FROM ITS INTERSECTION \HTH STATE HIGHWAY 8Ø TO THE NORTHEAST CITY LIMITS AS AIRPORT HIGHWAY 21~ PROVIDING FOR PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on August 27, 1991, the Planning Commission of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing regarding a request to designate the name of that portion of State Highway 21 from its intersection with State Highway 8Ø to the northeast city limits as Airport Highway 21~ and, WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the Planning Commission did, on August 27, 1991, approve the request and has recommended that the request be approved by the City Council of the City~ and, WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 14th day of October, 1991 regarding the request~ and, WHEREAS, all requirements of Chapter 25 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos pertaining to street name changes have been met~ now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the street name for the portion of State Highway 21 from its intersection with State Highway 8Ø to the northeast city limits is hereby designated as Airport Highway 21. SECTION 2. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten (lØ) days from and after its passage, and it shall be published in a newspaper of general circulation in the area as required by the Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas.
