<br /> 89 <br /> RESOLUTION 199Ø- 66 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING AN <br /> AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH <br /> BROWNING-FERRIS, INC. TO INCREASE THE <br /> BASE RESIDENTIAL SOLID WASTE COLLECTION <br /> RA TE, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM FOR THIS PURPOSE, AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos entered into an <br /> agreement with Browning-Ferris, Inc. on April, 1983 for solid <br /> waste collection and disposal and related services; and, <br /> WHEREAS, this agreement provides for unit price <br /> adjustments on the basis of certain changes in the Consumer <br /> Price Index; and, <br /> WHEREAS, increases in the Consumer Price Index warrant <br /> an increase of $.3Ø8 in the Base Residential Rate of the <br /> agreement, bringing the total rate to $5.771 per month; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That an amendment to the agreement between the <br /> City of San Marcos and Browning-Ferris, Inc. to increase the <br /> monthly Base Residential Rate of the agreement by $.3Ø8 to <br /> $5.771 per month is hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry Gilley, is hereby <br /> authorized to execute Amendment Number Four to this agreement <br /> on behalf of the City of San Marcos, in the form attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> PART 3. that this Resolution shall be in full fo rc e and <br /> effect from and after its passage. <br /> ADOPTED this <br /> flè~Jìf ~ <br /> City Secretary <br />
