LICTING ORDINANCES; PROVIDING A PENALTY; PROVIDING <br /> ""') <br /> ('\1 PUBLICATION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, on June 6, 1989, the Zoning Commission of the City of San <br /> Marcos held a public hearing to consider amendments to the following <br /> Section of Appendix A, General Zoning Ordinance of the San ~1arcos <br /> Code of Ordinances; and, <br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the <br /> commission did, on June 6, 1989, consider the amendments and voted to <br /> approve them and recommended that the amendments be approved by the <br /> City Council; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 25th day <br /> of June , 19 ~, regarding the amendments; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br /> adoption of the following amendments are in the interest of the public <br /> health, morals, welfare and safety; now, there fore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Subdivision ( 10 ), (10.5), and (20.5) of <br /> Subsection (A), and Subdivision (7) of Subsection (B) of Section 37 of <br /> Appendix A- General Zoning Ordinance of the San Marcos Code of <br /> Ordinances are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Section 37. Off-street Parking. <br /> <br /> (A) Minimum requirements: <br /> <br /> (lO.) Office and professional uses outside the Central <br /> Business Area, unless otherwise described in this <br /> section, including but not limited to financial <br /> institutions, real estate offices, insurance <br /> agents, law offices, architec-ts' offices, stock <br /> brokers, research services, administrative offices, <br /> e tc .: One space for each 300 square feet of gross <br /> floor area. <br /> (lO.5) Retail and other commercial uses outside the <br /> Central Business Area, unless otherwise described <br /> in this section, including but not limited to <br /> department stores, clothing stores, grocery stores, <br /> pharmacies, convenience stores, book stores, auto <br /> parts stores, general merchandise stores, <br /> business support services, laundry services, <br /> product repaIr services, barber and beauty <br /> shops e tc.: One space for each 250 square feet <br /> of gross floor area. <br /> (20.5) Vehicle sales or rental dealer: One parking space <br /> for employees and customers per 3,000 square feet <br /> of open sales lot and enclosed floor area devoted <br /> to the sale, display, or rental, of motor vehicles, <br /> mobile homes, and trailers. <br />
