<br /> 144 <br /> RESOLUTION 1989-81R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE <br /> FOREIGN TRADE ZONE OF CENTRAL TEXAS, INC., ENDORSING <br /> THE BY-LAWS OF THE FOREIGN TRADE ZONE OF CENTRAL TEXAS, <br /> INC., AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br /> SIT ON THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF SAID CORPORATION AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the Foreign Trade Zone of Central Texas, Inc. is a <br />corporation organized under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of San Marcos desires to participate in <br />said Trade Zone; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. That the City Council of the City of San Marcos supports <br />the organization of the Foreign Trade Zone of Central Texas, Inc. <br />PART 2. That the City Council of said City endorses the By-laws <br />of the Foreign Trade Zone of Central Texas, Inc., a copy of which is <br />attached hereto. <br />PART 3. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley or his designee is <br />hereby authorized to sit on the Board of Directors of the Foreign Trade <br />Zone of Central Texas, Inc. <br />PART 4.
