Mr. Guerra moved for approval and <br />Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was re- <br />corded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Kissler, Kreczmer. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Mòore. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval of the TIlinutes of the <br />Special Meeting held March 19, 1984. Mr. Farr moved for approval and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown introduced for consideration approval for appointments to <br />the Commission for Minorities. The Council needs to appoint seven <br />members. Mr. Moore moved for the appointments of Rosina Valle, Arnold <br />Leder, Rose Brooks, Richard Cruz and Sharon O'Neil and Mr. Farr se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council directed <br />the other two appointments be placed on a future agenda. <br /> <br />Mr. Brown opened a public hearing on a Zoning Ordinance request of <br />5.280 acres being two tracts out of the Thomas H. W. Forsyth Survey. <br />Mr. Brown asked if anyone wished to speak ln favor of the zoning re- <br />quest. Michael Scudder of Keys Builders reviewed a plan for develop- <br />ment of multi-family units on the property. No one else wished to <br />speak in favor of the request, so Mr. Brown asked if anyone wished <br />to speak in opposition. Brenda Smith who lives in the area of the <br />proposed development expressed concern for the excessive traffic and <br />the burden this development would place on traffic and requested the <br />Council place provisions on the developer to pay their costs. No one <br /> <br />* Mayor Craddock was not present at this meeting. <br />
