<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE 1985-89 ADOPTED
<br /> SEPTEMBER 10, 1985 WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED
<br /> ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH
<br /> ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF
<br /> SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
<br /> 1985 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1986, AND
<br /> APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND
<br /> PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE: TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES
<br /> AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID
<br /> REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES: AND DECLARING AN
<br /> EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 11, 1985,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 26, 1985, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1985; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 17 funds was held on August
<br />26, 1985; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1985, and
<br />ending on September 30, 1986, on September 10, 1985; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1985-89, adopted September
<br />10, 1985, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />1, 1985, and ending on September 30, 1986, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br />which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1985-86 beginning October 1, 1985,
<br />and ending on September 30, 1986, be, and the same are
<br />hereby, approved and adopted.
