<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN

<br /> ESTH1ATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH
<br /> ADrUNISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF
<br /> SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
<br /> 1984 AND ENDING ON SEPTEr'1BER 30, 1985, AND
<br /> APPROPRIATED r'lONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND
<br /> PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES
<br /> AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID
<br /> rU;;'VI SIGNS AND ESTI'INATES AND DECLARING AN Er,ŒRGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August lØ, 1984,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 2Ø, 1984, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1984; and,
<br /> ~1HEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therejn contain ¡ and,
<br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 16 funds was held on August
<br />2Ø, 1984; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1984, and
<br />ending on September 30,1985, on September 13,1984; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> l'lHEREAS, in accordance '.'lith Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public nec:('Hi ty e;dsts which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CI'rY OF SAN
<br />r'1ARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1984-86, adopted September
<br />13,1984, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />1, 1984, and ending on September 30,1985, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br />which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in viO rds
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />TexaA, for t f1 year 1984-85 beginning October 1,1984,
<br /> ending on September 30, 1985, be, and the same are
<br />hereby, approved and adopted.
<br /> SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance
<br />creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so
<br />that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances
<br />shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no
<br />ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten
<br />(lØ) days following the date of 'J.. final passage be

<br />suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and
<br />this Ordinance shall talçe effect and be in full force and
<br />effect from and after its adoption and after its publication
<br />in a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
