<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE 1984-86 ADOPTED
<br />SEPTEMBER 13, 1984 WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED
<br />ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH
<br />ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF
<br />SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1,
<br />1984 AND ENDING ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1985, AND
<br />II" 0'> APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND
<br />-.~....~ ~.......... PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO RE.VISE SAID ESTIMATES
<br />L~ §ê AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID
<br />. C " REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.

<br />WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 10, 1984,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 20, 1984, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1984; and,
<br />
<br />~ WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 16 funds was held on August
<br />20, 1984; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1984, and
<br />ending on September 30, 1985, on September 13, 1984; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various funds
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:

<br />SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1984-86, adopted September
<br />13, 1984, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />1, 1984, and ending on September 30, 1985, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br />which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.

<br />SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations
<br />which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos,
<br />Texas, for the fiscal year 1984-85 beginning October 1, 1984,
<br />and ending on September 30, 1985, be, and the same are
<br />hereby, approved and adopted.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance
<br />creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so
<br />that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances
<br />shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no
<br />ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten
<br />(10) days following the date of its final passage be
<br />suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and
<br />this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and
<br />effect from and after its adoption and after its publication
<br />in a newspaper of general circulation within the City.
