24 RESOLUTION 1985-24R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO STOKES CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR CONSTRUCTION OF CHLORINATION/FLUORIQATION BUILDINGS AND RENOVATION OF SPRINGLAKE PUMP STATION IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID IMPROVEMENTS FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $11,222.46; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has engaged the services of Stokes Construction Company for the construction of chlorination/fluoridation buildings and the renovation of Springlake Pump Station in said City; and, WHEREAS, said construction services were provided pursuant to a contract between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Stokes Construction Company entered into on August 27, 1984; and, WHEREAS, on January 24/ 1985, a final inspection of said project was conducted and it was found that said construction has been completed in substantial compliance with the terms and conditions of said contract of August 27, 1984; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That construction of chlorination/fluoridation buildings and renovation of the Springlake Pump Station in the City of San Marcos, Texas, have been completed in substantial compliance with that contract of August 27, 1984, between Stokes Construction Company and the City of San Marcos, Texas, and said improvements are hereby accepted for use by the City of San Harcos, Texas. PART 2. That final payment in the amount of $11,222.46 to Stokes Construction Company in full and final payment for construction of chlorination/fluoridation buildings and renovation of the Springlake Pump Station in the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby authorized.
