37 RESOLUTION 1984-6R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO FREESE AND NICHOLS, INC., CON- SULTING ENGINEERS AND PLANNERS, FOR CON- SULTING, PLANNING AND DESIGN WORK FOR DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MILL STREET DRAINAGE IM- PROVEMENTS PROJECT, PHASE II, IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID WORK; AUTHORIZING FINAL PAY- MENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $2,900.00 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has engaged the services of Freese and Nichols, Inc., Consulting Engi- neers and Planners, for consulting, planning and design work for drainage improvements in said City, said pro- ject being known as Mill Street Drainage Improvements Project, Phase II, and being HUD Community Development Block Grant No. B-79-HS-48-0505; and, WHEREAS, said services were provided pursuant to agreements between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Freese and Nichols, Inc., entered into on June 23, 1983 and September 29, 1983; anà WHEREAS, the design and plans have been completed by Freese and Nichols, Inc. and accepted by said City; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN IlARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the design and plans for drainage im- provements for the Mill Street Drainage Improvements Pro- ject, Phase II, in the City of San Marcos, Texas have been completed by Freese and Nichols, Inc. and said design and plans are hereby accepted for use by the City of San Marcos, Texas. PART 2. That final payment in the amount of $2,900.00 to Freese and Nichols, Inc., in full and final payment for consulting, planning and design work for drainage improve- ments for the Mill Street Drainage Improvements Project, Phase II, in the City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby authorized.
